John Allison's bad machinery is a Scott Pilgrim-esque dive into an alternate Great Britain with fantasy elements, pivoting around a group of modern day teens adventuring their way through secondary school life in hazy middle England suburbia.
It's funny, it's current, and it's meaningful. It's a coming of age story not about coming up to an age, but rather growing up in a country where age just sort of comes to you.
It's the only webcomic I read currently, and I've bought both currently released collections. If you want a pithy, witty, adventurous and "DRAMATIQUE!" slice of English teenage life, give John Allison some bloody money. Look at him; he clearly needs it.
