Customer Review

on 20 August 2003
The silver child is one of the best books I have read. It is written by the same author of the Doomspell trilogy.
six children are drawn to Coldharbour a desolate waste land of rubbish tips and muck. Thomas has a gift, a beauty to heal and and help people with happiness. Emily and Freda, who are twins, skuttle along the ground arms and legsout side was with a keen sence of smell. Walter, the gentle giant, who's about 12 feet tall looks after Thomas, Emily, Freda and Helen who can read minds and is "in tune" with insects. Finally Milo who first goes bald, then his skin comes of without pain leaving brilliant gold all around him, then his last skin colour of silver. He grows to be huge: he is a guardian with great wings to protect children from the roar thats coming to earth. There are going to be more books in the sequence and i cant wait. I would recomend this book - and the doomspell trilogy- to any one with a good imagination and a love for fantsy. Its definetly a worth while read.
