With their last two albums, Tales Don't Tell Themselves and Memories and Humanity, you would've thought FFAF were past their best days, but this album may prove different. Ryans screams are back, along with more upbeat powerful songs.
At first, When listening to the album the whole way through for the first time, it seems like too much, but listening to each song individually a couple of times, every single song grows on you quickly.
My Personal Opinion:
1. This Side Of Brightness 4/5 2. Old Hymns 4/5 3. Front Row Seats To The End Of The World 5/5 4. Sixteen 5/5 5. Aftertaste 4/5 6. Spinning Over The Island 5/5 (My favorite song on the album) 7. Man Alive 4/5 8. Owls (Are Watching) 5/5 9. Damned If You Do, Dead If You Don't 5/5 10. Medicated 5/5 11. Broken Foundation 5/5 12. Welcome Home Armageddon 5/5
But yeah, if you were a fan of the old stuff listen to this album! A new sound, but similar to their old stuff which is nice, and if you liked their newer stuff like Tales Don't Tell Themselves and Memories and Humanity, give this album a go! A bit heavier but an album worth listening to!
