Customer Review

on 15 December 2011
For starters a fair warning to people this book is notably larger than the others. I'm currently storing it sideways because of its unexpected size.

This book is one of those "must haves", if you are obsessed with Penny Arcade and feel the desire to buy everything of theirs then this is definitely a must have item. It's got the origin story, its got interviews, questions, answers, pictures, strips. If you wanted to make a guide to Penny Arcade then this sparkly pink book would be that guide.

It's an introduction and more... that being said, a whole load of the content is actually available on the preview for this book. There is an entire section dedicated to a "make a strip" transcript which you can watch for free on the website. There are sections on Child's Play, PAX, favourite comics, questions and answers. 90% of this material is available in several other places but if you want it all in one concise document its there in beautiful colour.

If you are a Penny Arcade fan don't expect any wild revelations within this book. It's still worth buying, the content is great, but its not "new"... if you get me.
