These five re-told versions of Shakespeare's classic plays are excellent revisionist fun, though probably not best for anyone under about 14, and not for someone who is trying to get to grips with Shakespeare in advance of taking an exam on it.
However, for a bit of a laugh and a giggle, they're a priceless addition to anyone's DVD collection. The Taming of the Shrew is worth every penny of the whole collection -- Rufus Sewell is like a modern-day Oliver Reed as the unnamed boyfriend (though he plays the part equivalent to Petruchio), and Shirley Henderson as Katherine was a stroke of genius from whoever decided to cast her.
