Ordered this item last week as it's the only entry level Miele machine that lists the Telescopic tube in the product description. Paid extra for expedited delivery and, sure enough, it arrived well within the promised delivery slot. Unpacked it and found that the telescopic tube was not present. Instead there were two tubes that needed slotting together. Contacted Amazon Customer Service and that's where it all went pear shaped..... First guy told me they all came with two tubes and none of these models had a telescopic tube..........So why does it say so in your product description? I checked with a local Miele distributor and was told that certain models came with the telescopic tube and that it would be detailed on the label affixed to the box. Back to Amazon, got a different guy who now told me that, as they all had the same model number, it was more or less pot luck which one was sent out. They had no means of telling them apart. When I pointed out that the Amazon website had no difficulty in listing two models, one with a telescopic tube and one with two tubes, he went off to "investigate" but didn't get back to me. Then I got an e-mail apologising for the non-delivery of the order ? ? ?........Replied saying the order had been delivered but was not as described. Now told by Amazon that their "Fulfilment team" was investigating the matter, that it could take 2 working days to complete, and then I'd be "updated" on their progress. Then another e-mail apologising for non-delivery of the order and telling me that an investigation was being launched with City Link......Replied again saying the order HAD been delivered. I've just, a few minutes ago, got the third e-mail apologising for non-delivery but this one tells me that City Link claim to have delivered it ! !....Replied saying that City Link were quite correct and suggesting they read my previous replies. So, I haven't used the machine but it looks the business. It'll probably be an excellent purchase AS LONG AS YOU DON'T BUY IT FROM AMAZON. Unless, that is, you've a few days to waste dealing with their "Customer Services" and don't have any high blood pressure problems.(Two days dealing with them and you will have...) Still waiting for it to be swapped out for the correct item but Amazon now seem to have lost interest. The World's Most Customer Centric Company.....Not in this case.
