I felt this constrtuctive, positive comment plus the 4.5 overall ratio of comments, I placed an order without further inspection of comments.
However . . . having used the radio every day - but only first thing for about an hour - I found that I had to change the batteries much more quickly than anticipated (with x 6 C LR 14). The second time this happened, I bought a battery checker (cheap), battery recharger (£15) and 6 rechargeable batteries (though I can't remember the exact price, I was a bit shocked!). Prior to the first 'recharge' (i.e. when the brand new batteries ceased to function), I calculated the number of hours used. This came to 20 hours (not days, weeks or months - I do mean HOURS). I did feel this was the same length of time as the expendable batteries had demonstrated previously. In the end, I felt I had spent as much on batteries as I had on the radio. Although I won't have to spend any more money for some time, I wonder if my experience, together with the news reports indicating that DAB radios may not be a necessary purchase in the future, I wonder if this was money well spent!Roberts Gemini 45 DAB FM RDS Digital Radio - Black
