The hero & heroine strike sparks of one another all the time: I was hooked by their verbal sparring. It was great to see two clever characters learn to depend on one another. Two very difficult and independent people, who come together for expediency, find they have more in common than they ever thought.
I love Sarah Morgan's work, but this is just fantastic. It's so nice to have a clever and 'mouthy' heroine, Taylor, who take few prisoners. What we find is a woman who uses her intelligence to hide a multitude of pain and loneliness. As for our bad boy hero, Luca, he is so bad and arrogant it took me a while to actually warm to him. It is his surprised reaction to the heroine that make such great reading. Excellent book, so good to find in a Dynasty set of books.
