Great book, but Kindle???,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: British Coastal Wildlife (Collins Complete Guides) (Kindle Edition)
Good text, if you bypass advice about wearing Wellingtons and avoiding incoming tides. Excellent pictures, good descriptions of flora and fauna.
But it is my first Kindle book and I am finding it hellishly difficult to navigate on my Nexus even with the special software. It is no good searching for "index", it doesn't understand, and when you find the "List of Searchable Items" (which is greyed out from the menu), and click on one, up comes a dictionary definition, hitting the magnifying glass, which appears for one second before disappearing, can provide one with pages of junk ie. select "red" under Clover (Red Clover) will give on "exploRED, shelteRED, offeRED, botheRED ad nauseam. When one arrives at a desired page, one cannot get out of it except by moving a page at a time, hitting the back button exits the book.
Don't expect page numbers to help you to navigate , there are none, but there are 9,795 locations, which can be keyed in.
Buy the book, it is very good, perhaps a genuine Kindle works ok, but on a Nexus it does not!
