Well, that's the series completed for me. Whew! This delivered what it promised. A moving love story with all the wonderful characters from the previous novels playing a large role. Coupled with the excitement of a murder trial this is pretty gripping stuff. Julian has been a prominent character in the series from day one and Ms Hunter manages to draw him out of the wings beautifully. The opening scenes of the book are hilarious in terms of gaining an insight into the workings of his mind. He has always been dark and mysterious and Ms Hunter makes him accessible in this story whilst managing to retain his mystery. It's lovely to finally see him with the love of his life Penelope after such a long time as both have been solid characters throughout the series.
As usual, we are reintroduced to all the lovers from the previous novels which is always a treat and it's a joy to know that I can turn the last page knowing that all of them are happy and together.
A wonderful series of books which I will no doubt read again and again.
