My favorite Douglas Coupland book,
This review is from: City of Glass: Douglas Coupland's Vancouver (Paperback)
I love Douglas Coupland's non-fiction. The two 'Souvenir of Canada' books and 'Postcards from the Dead' are among my favorites, above his fiction. This is my favorite Coupland. I think it's because I bought and read it while visiting Vancouver in 2006. I left that city wishing I could live there after what I can only describe as falling in love. I'd never fallen in love with a city before and this book helped me understand the place a bit better than I would have, otherwise. If you've never visited, this book is worth a read, but you'll get the most out of it if you read it before you go or while you're there. Vancouver is a very special place and Coupland, obviously, is also in love with his city.
