This book is truly excellent and a must for any true Numan fan! The Author knows more about Gary Numan than Gary does himself I think. Every minor detail is covered here, from TV show appearances, to bootleg recordings, rarities, foreign releases, and tour dates.
Even down to the description of album covers, the book describes various record sleeves in precise detail, including what peel-off stickers were on the front cover at the time of release, the colour vinyls that were available, and for Telekon there were quite a few. It also shows you variants of sleeves released in various countries from around the world, some of them so minor you can hardly tell the difference, but there is, for which I only have too much praise for the Author's articulate approach to this book.
There is either an extreme amount of research gone into this book, or as I personally feel, the Author is an obsessive fan and knows pretty much everything there is to know anyway. For people and fans such as myself who are not that keen picking up a book, this book is ideal, as it is basically a reference book that you can pick up and read as and when you want to. If you thought you knew pretty much everything there is to know commodity wise about Numan, this will truly open your eyes.
