A bit unuseful,
This review is from: Louvre: 400 Masterpieces (Hardcover)
The book is very well produced, with very good print quality,a beautiful pearl white paper, and an amazing mirroring silver edge of the pages. The text "Louvre"has a faboulus rubber effect.
The selection of objects is very good, there is a description of the museum, but I was very disappointed of one thing;beside every object there is a caption(name, age, origin),but absolutely not a description of it!!!And if I don't know what is that object,it a bit unuseful, because I can only see images without understanding nothing!
Another book is similar to this, but is done much better, because it describe the objects:
"Egypt: 4000 Years of Art"
This book is similar produced, with the difference of the presence of the descriptions.
This is the first Abrams book that I've ever bought, but I must say that books by Phaidon Press, and much more by Whitestar are absolutely masterpieces, and muuuuuuuuuuuuuch better than Abram's...The print quality is the same, but the is absolutely different.
