The name Timex is synonymous with well-made, practical, long - lasting watches. This watch is certainly well-made and practical and the battery has a seven-year lifespan, which bodes well. The watch strap is very well made - not as wide as the old-style Timexs but with an attractive 'padded' appearance that makes it thick and sturdy.
The Indiglo nightlight feature is very easy to operate, the time adjustment knob is simply pressed inwards. This lights up the dial in a greenish light for as long as the knob is depressed.
The dial has very clear black on white Arabic numerals in a style resembling Times New Roman, and the hands are simple thin batons, also black, with a very thin silver seconds hand. For anyone with minor visual impairments this would be an excellent choice as it is very clear to read. Instructions for setting the date and time were very clear and the watch also comes very attractively presented in a sturdy box, buckled around a padded cushion.
