Nothing is new here!,
This review is from: The Best Of Acoustic Jethro Tull (Audio CD)
OK, so this a great collection of the "Tender Tull" back catalogue, but I have a couple of reservations. Firstly, who is it aimed at? The average Tull fan will have all these tracks anyway. Secondly, what are "Brick" and "Cold Wind" doing here? Ok, so they start with acoustic guitar, but that's it. If that's the criteria, why not include the midle section from "Aqualung"? Thirdly, "Jack-A-Lyn", "Weathercock" and "One Brown Mouse" are toned-down versions of the originals and lack the kick that makes them the special tracks they are. And, sorry Ian, I am your biggest fan, but tracks from your solo albums should not be on a Tull compilation!
That said, it's on in my car constantly. It's a bit like hearing from old freinds aain. Looking forward to the concert in York. (Just hope it's a bit louder!)
