Join it to a second big module and its fine. I'm using it for a chinese hamster.
Pros: * looks cute * can change how it is connected to change its look Cons: * rotastak water bottles don't work sometimes, and its really hard to tell if you are not looking out for it - so your hamster could easily die of thirst. I had a faulty water bottle and bought a ceramic bowl instead which took up more of the already lacking space. Oh, and no other kind of water bottle will fit in the hole provided, so you have to keep it there to fill up the hole until you buy spare plugs, which are expensive . I had nowhere else to keep my hamster, so I couldn't send the whole thing back just to get a working water bottle. * bad ventilation in this rotastak model in particular. This means it gets hot in there, which could kill the hamster in the summer, the water bowl steams up the whole module even in winter, and when you open it it smells horrible from all the steamy pee and poo. * harder to clean than other types of tank. The hamsters I have had just love to do their business in the tunnels, and when you take the tunnels off, it leaks onto your hands and clothes. Because of the steam and condensation on the plastic, the whole thing needs to be thoroughly washed.
Hamster enthusiasts tend to recommend the Duna tanks instead, and I have to agree that a Duna tank or similar would be so much better.
