As a life long fan of Hendrix, I can honestly say Electric Ladyland is by far the most superior of recordings which pushed the technical capabilities of the recording studio to the limit with playing of the highest order. With classics such as Voodoo chile, this album is still today in a league of it,s own and rivals the skills of even today's generation of talented guitarists. On most albums Hendrix sounds good even if his playing is perhaps disadvantaged by the influence of drugs and sounding average at times. This does not happen on Electric Ladyland and is definately Hendrix stone sobre and truly inspriational. It has many layers and takes you somewhere special.
