This review is from: Netgear WNR2000 Wireless-N Router (Electronics)
Bought this to replace a Buffalo router that failed. Setup was easy and signal to the main PC was good. Fair to say at first i was happy. Then we connected another PC in my sons bedroom and noticed the signal strength was always low and usually dropped off completely. Decided to try the laptop in different spots around the house. Dismayed to find the signal only strong in the adjacent rooms to where the router sat. Anything upstairs was a no go.
I replaced it with a far cheaper Edimax unit that gives no less than 75% signal strength anywhere in the house.
The Netgear has it's plus points - easy setup, looks good and reasonable signal at short range. But the bad points far out weigh the good points.
My advice, look at another model, Amazon have plenty to choose from.
