waiting for the real book,
This review is from: Billy (Paperback)
I'll give this book three stars for the effort. I think Billy Connolly's life story would be really great in a real book. Unfortunately, this book is poorly written. And, in the end, it really doesn't give us such an insightful, in-depth view of the man as it promises. I'm glad it was written, and I'm glad that there are many accounts of Billy's childhood stories (although they are disjointed and non-sequitous). I hope that a better writer will take up the flag and write a book about Billy Connolly.
Besides the writing style, I thought all the psychoanalysis of periferal, or long-dead, people was irritating.
