Customer Review

on 8 October 2004
If you like melodic/pop rock - buy this. Superb performances from the last incarnation of the Jeferson Airplane/Jeferson Starship/Starship band lineups. The songs are all taken from the few Starship albums of the 80s, except for 'Layin it on the Line', 'Jane' and 'Find your way Back', which come from Jeferson Starship albums of the early 80's. Most people will remember 'We Built this City' and 'Nothings going to Stop Us Now', but the band did so much more that those 2 songs. This record showcases the incredible vocal talents of Mickey Thomas (who never gets the full credit he deserves). The more famous (but less talented) Grace Slick features on some of the tracks (including the famous two), but it's Mickey's brilliant voice that just grabs your ear and holds it. Great creamy and melodic guitar work from Craig Chaquico.
