Customer Review

on 12 June 2011
If you liked "Enter My Religion",chances are "Skintight" will be for you too. Musically its mostly similarly "pop-ish", but also once again with lyrics with a real feeling and depth ,arguably rather rare in the pop genre

On the other hand, if like me you had previously only heard Liv's debut solo album "Deus ex machina",then "Skintight" might at first puzzle or even disappoint, simply because the first was mostly NOT pop , whereas this one mostly IS ("Deus" is about as hard as it gets to pigeon -hole, though "experimental folk-metal" would be as fair a tag as any)

Get past that though and this grows into a very listenable album, unconstrained by any particular concept but just about life and what's real and what's fake (one seriously stand-out track is the last but one "The Rarest Flower", this one wouldnt have been out of place on "Deus" and is clearly where it is in the track list to counterpoint all that has gone before.
