If you are looking for a book that is going to help you be the next Zuckerberg then look somewhere else. The basic message you can get from this book is that there is no one recipe for success and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works for a while and then you get tripped up by competitors that fly past you (MySpace anyone). It is more a question of luck and sticking with it to try and try again. You have to take your moment and be prepared for it all to fall apart. One day you might be AOL buying Time Warner or Webcrawler the dominant early search engine, and then you come back to reality as technology makes you redundant, or loss of goodwill destroys your business.
This is a history book and you are not going to find the future in it.
