Customer Review

on 1 September 2006
A startlingly original film, not least for the fact that the main character never utters a word during the entire thing. The plot, for what it's worth, concerns an aimless young drifter who hooks up with a young girl who's being knocked about by her husband. The remarkable thing is that there is no dialogue between the two leads, a look tells a thousand words, and a slow mesmeric quality envelops the movie. As ever with these kinds of films, the meaning remains something of a mystery and it's impossible to figure out what is going on or what is trying to be conveyed. Nevertheless you still have a warm feeling at the end of it all.
