tyla decides to re visit the past with stripped down versions of some old dogs classics, sounds ok, and some of it is ok, but (and its a big but), tyla sounds like he is singing through a muddy puddle on most of it, at times its painfull, a lifetime of fags/booze has left him sounding like lemmy, rather than Ian Hunter! The more up tempo numbers work, but without the sax/piano and bam's ahead of the beat drums the joy has been removed from what was one of the best british rock albums ever, but maybe thats what tyla wants? Get the vinyl, if you must, then at least tyla might get out on the road again!
