I love this recording. Einaudi's music is simple but complicated at the same time. I play some of this on the piano, and things that sound simple can actually be complex. There is a story that you can hear behind the pieces, for example Due Tramonti (Two Sunsets)is about his father driving through Italy and seeing the sun set twice and you can definately hear this in the piece. The music can be relaxing background music or can be gripping so that you want to hear more if you turn it up loud. Some people say that this music is repetative, but it is this that allows you to hear so much in each piece - a phrase can mean something else each time you hear it. I love it. A must have for any light-classical music fan.
