If you get a puncture in your Lay-Z-Spa inflatable liner or lid, you basically need to purchase a new one - these 'offical' patches do not do the job, at best creating a slow puncture out of a faster one. This is absolutely pointless when you consider once 'loaded' with water the pressures this exerts flatten the punctured portion of your spa faster that the heater unit can get the water up to temperature - so zero 'fun time' then!
None of this is really a surprise looking at the material these patches are made from, a thin, translucent plastic, with only a peel-off sticky backing. Hardly 'industrial' enough to be fit for purpose. Equally, while I would love to think that I simply recieved a 'dud batch', or simply did something wrong in the application process, I have purchased this product from several vendors and tried on a couple of punctures now, and universally they fail to do the job.
What a shame, I have to contemplate a new £250 replacement liner, but then that probably is the commercially desireable result!
If anyone has found a properly functioning alternative, I would love to hear of it (Forget bicycle puncture repair kits...tried those)
