Customer Review

on 21 May 2009
I'm surprised noone has reviewd this yet. Well, here goes my humble endeavour...
Turner is a small town librarian who hides behind her drab clothes and well documented lukewarm personality. Then one day she happens to be on the scene of a bank heist gone spectacularly wrong. When CIA review the CCTV footage, John , the agent in charge spots some startling behaviour form the drab librarian, that had gone unnoticed during the initial fray. Suddenly Turner is a wanted woman! Only the surprise lies in the fact that she seems prepared for this and has already disappeared. As John pursues her a sudden and surprisingly irresistible attraction develops between them . It feels wrong, dangerous and illicit but they don't seem to be able resist it. More, Turner appears to have hidden depths that take everyone by surprise...

I was taken aback by how well written this book was, for all it seems to be Harpers first. The characters are very enjoyable, unpredictable and convincingly into each other. The hero is really hot! Really, this book seemed more than just a formulaic romance (despite the packaging) and the attraction between the leads, their fascination with each other, was convincing and enjoyably more mature.

Not five stars because its her first and I am sure she could do better in her next novel!
