Excellent format of sliced pages for starters, main courses and desserts makes it fun and practical to display illustrated recipes if you're preparing a 3 course meal. Tabs along the edge of the pages makes it easy to locate seasonal and different cultures of cooking. Essential to read the introductory pages as information given here relates to all of the recipes in the book. The final section on accompaniments and basics contains Gordon's suggestions for dishes throughout the book, which are simple everday side dishes with a bit more thought in them than just boiled veg!
One of the best cookery books in a long time, although the description of paperback is a bit confusing, as it is more of a cardboard folder.
