This review is from: Jethro Tull - Nothing Is Easy - Live At The Isle Of Wight [DVD] (DVD)
I thoroughly enjoyed this DVD. The film quality is good, and it was interesting to see the concert in the context of what was going on at the perimeter fence. The music was of course superb, although slightly worrying to see that Ian Anderson hadn't really moved on a great deal in terms of his flute solos over the years. The other striking feature is that you can see that the current band stands of the shoulders of its predecessors, and the other members of the band were superb. However a missed opportunity: it was good to have interviews with Ian Anderson, but why not with the other band members, especially the superb and under-appreciated Martin Barre. It perpetuates the myth that JT are just Ian with a support band, and this would have been an opportunity to show that it was, and is, a band.
