Mortal Kombat's reboot on the Vita includes everything in the PS3 version of the game. Obviously with a downgrade in graphics however. The game that insists on spelling everything with a K has been around for a long time. I remember playing the first game in my youth and, at the time, thinking those gory fatalities were great. Time may have mellowed me a little now though as I play this new incarnation. I find it's extreme level of violence goes too far, but worse it's depiction of the female characters as little more than stereotypical porn actresses very sad (with huge fake looking breasts, high heals, and very little clothing). I realise seedy games like Dead or Alive have made a living out of their immature depiction of women, but it's a shame this has now trickled down to other fighting games as well. The violence too has moved far away from the silly, cartoon-like violence of the early games and now, due to far more realistic graphics, loses that removal from reality and becomes quite jarring. Unfortunately what was good about this game was lost amongst bad taste and an attitude that is stuck in the past. I'll return when the game grows up a little.
