I bought this to read because of research I was doing on Rose West and Anne-Marie gave me a deeper insight to the atrocities of 25, Cromwell Street. It is not easy reading or something I would ordinarily choose to read but I am amazed at the extraordinary strength and calm of this young woman in spite of everything she was forced to endure. Certainly her experiences are incomprehensible to the average person but what Anne-Marie shows is a desire to rise above the terrors inflicted on her in that house and she has grown into a remarkable person. It is a story of courage and certainly reveals much of the personalities of the Wests and some interesting little known facts. I believe Anne-Marie is a remarkable person.
