More fun for adults,
This review is from: Galt Toys Super Marble Run (Toy)
I'm afraid there are only certain types of children who will find this toy fun. They will almost certainly be male and will need to be interested in constructing things. I've had a set with several kids and at the end of 10 mins I'm usually left with one 7yr old boy who is trying to build the biggest most complicated marble run possible. Preferably with two marbles racing each other. This is where the set falls down, because for this it isn't big enough and so after 30 min even the little boy has left to go and play with something with more variety.
The only people I have seen play with this toy longer are the adults.

Stephen C. says:
If a 7 yr old boy plays for 30 min and boys learn to construct is this bad in your opinion. Its not in mine! Would you prefer 1 and a half hours in front of a tv and a DVD!

Jonathan Sharp says:
Interesting that the roles of the sexes are so clearly and stereotypically delineated and limited in your house that your daughters are not attracted towards a construction/engineering toy like this. I think perhaps that says a lot more about how you are bringing up your children rather than providing us with a balanced review of the product!

triboelectric, what an awful thing to say to someone that you don't know anything about. He did not comment on whether he even had daughters, nor do you know that all the children in this 'group' were his own. Yet you jump to criticising his parenting skills when he's just come on here to leave a review to try and help other consumers. What is the world coming to?!
And Mr S. J. Cook, I found Craig's review useful. He did not say that learning to construct for just 30 minutes was bad and I most certainly didn't get the impression from the review that the alternative to a marble run was 90 minutes of television!!
I do not have £20 to spend for half an hour's play, which is part of the reason that reviews are so essential.
As a result of this review I may consider suggesting this as a toy for my local playgroups and toy library where you can borrow toys for £1 for 2 weeks.
So thank you to the reviewer. Sorry that I have no comments to make about your parenting skills, I'm sure the anticipation had you on the edge of your seat!! ;-)

Oh Ali, here here! So succinctly put, echoing my exact feelings on reading this helpful review and the judgmental reviews left.
