Customer Review

on June 3, 2000
The Leps, after their traditional five-year gap between recordings, return with the follow-up to the vast-selling Hysteria. The previous two albums both sold in excess of ten million, and topping two of the greatest pop metal albums of all time was neither an easy nor an enviable task. Facing tragedy, too, with the loss of guitarist Steve Clark, and coming up against a growing tide of grunge, the odds were stacked against them. The Leps responded with this, a triumphant album that rocks harder than Hysteria and has, if anything, more consistent quality. It may not have "Sugar," "Armageddon" or any of the other huge hits that made Hysteria what it was, but it showed that the Leps were alive and kicking in the 90s.
