This review is from: Reversing Language Shift: The Role and Social Identity of Scottish Gaelic Learners (Belfast Studies in Language, Culture & Politics) (Belfast Studies in Language, Culture and Politics) (Paperback)
I can thoroughly recommend this book. It is a finely crafted piece of academic research. It is impossible to underestimate the contibution this monograph has made to the understanding of "the teuchter tung" Quite possibly the new benchmark in Gaelic language shift studies. Every politician should be chained to a desk and forced to read this work. The world would be a better place as a result. The author has created a work of stunning originality and importance.
