I got a number of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas played by Kempff years ago on tape - yes that's how long ago - and while the playing was great the reproduction was poor. So when I saw this "Remastered" version grabbed it. Given the age of the recordings (1964/65) I'm not sure what I expected but the remastering isn't as good as I'd hoped. Still, better than tape of course and still the best playing you could wish for. Wonder whether any of today's young pianists (Yuja Wang? Tzvi Erez?), will do "the lot"
