A great rally game,
This review is from: WRC 4: World Rally Championship (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
I missed the first 3 games in the series as i tend to steer (pun intended) away from simulation controls as opposed to arcade. Being a huge rally fan, i found myself wanting another rally game to play aside from DiRT 2 and 3. When i saw WRC 4 at a good price, i bought it.
Graphics: Being the 4th game in the series and one of the last games to come out for its generation, i feel it could have had a little more detail and polish. Though in saying that, the graphics are by no means bad.
Sound: Good title an replay music. The sound effects as a whole are fine. The engine sounds do let it down though as they sound like a lawn mower, not a 300bhp rally car.
Gameplay: WRC game controls are a little less arcade than that of DiRt games but it doesn't take long to get to grips with and is not as simulation like as the likes of Gran Turismo or Forza. There are all 13 locations of the official 2013 WRC. Each location being split into 6 stages. So plenty of tracks with a good variety of surfaces. With quick mode, rally mode, career mode and online multiplayer, there is enough to keep you going for awhile.
Overall: I really enjoyed this game. It's a good rally game. Even if you have the DiRT games, this is different enough to warrant owning as well.
