This book has some really good recipes and some unusual recipes, but it also has a few mistakes in it which can cause confusion. I think to be able to use this book you need to have a certain amount of cookery skill to be able to spot the mistakes and have the confidence to tweak the recipes that dont turn out tha well first time around. the recipes that I recommend from the book are: Breakfast bars - great flavor from the spices and perfect for packed lunches. Spoon bread - strange but great with baked beans. Shortbread - Perfect. recipes that need adjusting: millionaire's shortbread - caramel is to sweet needs less sugar. choc brownies - Taste great but are quite dense so I whisk egg and sugar rather than put sugar in with chocolate as it melts.
