As the description states this drive was fantastic until the sata socket snapped inside my sata cable. I already own one of these drives for my PC and purchased another for my son's new build.
Only after installing windows and a number of programs, updates etc. I had to remove the sata cable to fit another drive within the tower for more storage and re-arranging of the cables. And voila after removing the cable from the SSD drive the socket housing snapped and stripped the plastic chassis from around the pins.
The drive failure is only covered by warranty and not the terrible construction of this shoddy drive allowing the socket to snap (no force was needed to snap the drive as is was already loose) and used cheap components.
I already own one of these drives and have no problems so far, but this being the newest drive (purchased at the end of 2013 and broken in february 2014) made this purchase very disappointing. If you intend to purchase one of these drives I advise you to be aware of any sign of a loose fitting around the sockets with the cables, if that is the case then return the item straight away before you lose out on £150 - £170.
I won't be purchasing another one of these drives again as the 5 year warranty is meaningless and the customer services although efficient in collecting the drive for return means nothing when you are blamed for breaking the already low quality drive.
I have been building PC's for around 15 years and have a vast experience and know when products are not up to scratch.
