Customer Review

on 15 May 2003
Some might consider this the best out of the Resident Evil series (I don't -- RE2 is better) but as a game alone, it's pretty good. But as a port (and that's all it is) to the GCN, it's a little... underwhelming? Anyone who has played previous versions will instantly feel at home ("chunky" controls, pre-rendered backgrounds, etc.). The story ties in with RE1 and RE2, but progresses past RE2. Anyony who hasn't played these games will be lost in the plot.
Now I could go on about how the game is just a port, how this makes the game look like a good 32-bit game and how disappointing that was, but all you need to know is here:
If you already have a version of this game; you don't need this one.
If you have a Dreamcast; get that version instead.
If you're neither, then the game is definitely worth getting, especially if you have the previous games aswell.
