Do not be fooled by the numerous 5* reviews on here. I have read all of the series up to and including this book. I am sorry to say it got worse and worse.
The writer has a story, yes. But absolutely nothing beyond the main story (which is not original either). Zero character development, just names and hair color.
However my main problem was with the storytelling which is less sophisticated than what my 4 year old kid's average book delivers. That "the great admiral was put in cryosleep for several centuries so he can come back one day and fight the baddies" was basically repeated at least once every 20 pages. Also throughout the book the main baddie kept wondering what it is the AIs are hiding from them about the humans. Also about every 30 pages...
I will not buy the next book. If you are older than 8, you should also probably skip..
