Customer Review

on 3 April 2003
This highly accoustic concert offers classic after classic of Brel's art with a particularly poignant presence on stage. The version of 'Quand on a que l'amour' delivered here is to my ears the best ever. I've heard many artists sing this song across the decades but this album holds a rare moment of perfection. You won't find any more talent for that track, or most of the others for that matter.
As for the interview included at the end of the cd, it's deep, thought provoking, moving and it stands as a precious testimony of who Jacques Brel was.
I recommend it even if, or should i say especially if, it's the only Brel album you ever buy.
