Customer Review

VINE VOICEon 19 July 2003
The Jedi Knights (Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard) made some extremely infliential and great music through their period of activity. Many other artists have been influenced by their work.
On this collection you can hear breakbeat: 'Catch the Break', house: 'New York New York, 'Takin' over me' and 'Chicago Chicago', acid electro: 'Antacid', electro-funk: 'May the funk be with you', drum'n'bass: 'Elkah' and ambient jazz/breakbeat: 'Solina'.
Some tracks are weak, particularly the boring drum'n'bass foray, 'Time Machine'. But the class of tracks like 'Antacid' and 'Solina' is what brings this collection up in my ratings.
Truly a widespread mix of electronic music all done in the inimitable Jedi Knight style. It's a good collection, so if you want to remember how significant the Jedi's were to the electronic/dance music scene, then pcik this CD up right now.
