Customer Review

on 5 July 2010
It's incomprehensible that this record has not been released on CD in the UK - I'd happily snap it up, but not at the inflated price of a Japanese import. This was the Weather Prophets' first album, a classic late 80s indie mix of jangly guitars and fey lyrics (bordering on the Basil Fotherington-Thomas "hello clouds hello sky" at times), with radio-friendly production. Their follow-up - Judges, Juries, and Horsemen - was more varied and much more intense, but lacks the freshness and charm of this set.
If you're a fan of C86-style "twee indie" pop (think anything on Sarah Records, or the Shop Assistants) then you'll like this.
