Customer Review

on 7 January 2006
Not only does this film tell a true story but it captures all the hearts of those who do watch it.
The story does wander a bit given that Balto is portrayed as being a wolf hybrid when in real life he was pedigree Siberian Husky (not that it matters as children will love the story all the same!)
This is a must-watch for any dog lover especially those with Siberian Huskies (like me) as the film celebrates the dogs who willingly lost their lives for the sake of the children suffering from diptheria. And at the end it also shows the statue of Balto in Central Park, New York City, NY as another reminder of the amazing dogs involved in such a terrific tale.
This is a timeless classic and I would be truly surprised if anyone was to say otherwise.
Watch and enjoy...
