Customer Review

on April 16, 2006
This book is an amazing account of a child growing up close to Saddam and his influence on her and her family.

The closeness of her family and the effect it had on them all constantly living in fear and never able to be themselves.

Anyone who ever had any doubt about Saddams regime and what it was like to live under it should read this book.

I thought this book was well worth reading and even more special that Zainab lived through it to put her efforts into helping other woman around the world affected by war.

A reminder of how lucky some of us are to live in a free world able to express ourselves without fear of retribution.
