Very good headphones,
This review is from: Avantree Audition Deep Bass Super Light Bluetooth Over Ear Headphones with 3.5mm Audio In, 40h Music Time, Wireless and Wired Dual Mode, aptX High-Res Sound, NFC (Electronics)
Avantree sent me these headphones for review. I think they are very good, with exceptionally good sound for their price. I don't describe myself as an audiophile but I use headphones for at least a couple of hours every day and have tried quite a lot of different ones, and in my view while these may not be real top-end hi-fi, the sound is of remarkably good quality.
The overall sound is very good - I would say it is excellent for headphones in this price range. The bass is prominent and very firm, with very good middles and a pretty clear, hiss-free treble. They go far too loud for my comfort with no audible distortion. Among other things, I have put them through my Test Playlist, starting with some Tudor polyphony from about 1520, ending up with London Grammar and taking in most things in between. They do pretty well on everything, I think. For example, bass instruments like viola da gamba and cello come out very well, orchestral instruments sound distinct, rock is excellent and that deep, resonant bass in the second half of London Grammar's Hey Now sounds good. If anything, the bass may be a little dominant and the treble a little muted for some music - especially classical - but that's a matter of personal preference and if you're looking for real, solid bass I think you'll love the sound.
In use they are very good. I find them comfortable for hours at a stretch and battery life seems very good. (Avantree claim 42 hours music time which I can't confirm, but it is many hours.) Bluetooth pairing is simple (the 'phones also have NFC) and the controls on the left earcup work well. They are the usual volume, skip and receive/end call, with a decent built-in microphone for phone calls. You can also connect via 3.5mm jack lead (supplied) to non-Bluetooth sources.
The supplied leads (jack-to-jack and micro-USB charging lead) are good quality and very stylish. The instructions are basic but adequate. The styling of the phones themselves may not be to everyone's taste (I like it, my wife doesn't - oh, the joys of matrimony!) but if you do like it I can recommend these headphones very warmly. They are well made, comfortable and give excellent sound for the price.
