Watch the film with subtitles,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Inception: The Shooting Script (Paperback)
The large portion of the book is the dialogue featured in the motion picture which you would expect from a screenplay. In addition, there are storyboard sketches in between the dialogue text, as well as written descriptions of the action sequences and concept art. Essentially, you would probably get a better experience by watching the film with the subtitles on, as opposed to reading the main body of this book. However, the book does have a nice interview between Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan describing some ideas of the genesis of the story.
The ending of the book has an instruction manual detailing the correct operating procedure for the PASIV device, i.e. the silver suitcase sleep mechanism used in the movie to connect the characters into a shared dream. This is interesting, because it shows that intricacy of work done by the film crew to create a believable world for the dreamer…viewer, which is strange.
