Worse than terrible, for describable reasons....,
This review is from: Only God Forgives [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Before I compose my opinion of this waste of space, I'd like to explain the types of films that I usually enjoy. I'm one of those individuals that will give most types of film a go, as I'm not one of the style of viewer that claims to hate a type or genre without at least giving it a go.
The one style I truly do not like though, is musicals. I hate them. So, apart from that type of film, I'll enjoy most styles of movie, so long as it's enjoyable in the manner for which it was produced.
From the description of this film, I was expecting one which followed the life of an individual who'd lost his Brother due to murder, and felt the need to ignore using Law and Order to respond, leading to a series of pay-backs, that built up to a meeting with the individual who took his Brother's life. However, what I watched, was a film that seemed to want the viewer to have about 90 minutes of scenes that had no connection, no reality, no believability, no background, no plausibility, no enjoyment and no feeling of understanding. It was a waste of my time and money, and to shorten my description of this utter ignorance, I'd say it was like watching a film from half way through it, (due to having no idea about anyone or anywhere in the film) and while being 'high as a kite' on drugs (due to none of it being close to realism, sensibility, or understanding).
