Customer Review

on 8 March 2008
Although this is not their best album, it is surprisingly more experimental than their later work such as The Beautiful Letdown, but perhaps in the league of Nothing Is Sound for its unpredictability. Instrumentwise it is much simpler, with just guitar, drums and bass (and a few uncredited bits) giving it a thinner sound - but still nonetheless a brilliant album.

It is far from boring, with some unpredictable, creative yet catchy tunes. Like Nothing Is Sound, it is not all laid on a plate so you discover more as you listen again and again.

It's a great album especially for their first and is almost as good as their later stuff like The Beautiful Letdown. It's different, more rocky with some funky beats and guitar rhythm parts. And it has a different feel to the others. So buy this cd!
