A great little book!,

This is a tiny book but don't be deceived as it is a great one. It contains a through introduction, explaining the aims of the book and giving general information on yoga and yogic practises, then followed up by a detailed presentation of introduced poses. The collection of asanas suggested is an interesting mix of popular and less known ones, which is quite refreshing. What is even more helpful, the author goes on to collect them in several sequences, each to serve a different purpose - such as de-stressing or concentrating, What is also very valid, is the fact that Uma doesn't (unlike many other authors) stop on teaching the poses. Namely, she also introduces breathing and meditation techniques, invaluable for ones' yoga experience. I would recommend the book not only to beginners but also to advanced practitioners and yoga teachers as it offers a good, refreshing perspective on the topic.
